10- that surprises me, Microsoft has always been about giving people choices. Choices such as not including wireless online, not including the HD drive, and as with 7 not making installation mandatory. Which are reasons why people buy 360 over PS3.

Do you know anything about Microsofts business practices what so ever ? google "micorosft monoloply" and enlighten yourself.

9. You can set an option to load a game as soon as you turn the thing on rather than going to the "dashboard". I also like that they've added the option to not start a game as soon as you put the disc in.

Just to let you know that option was already available with the old blade interface. I've been using it since I got my 360 in early 07. ;-p

OT: this thread is just a Sony Fanboy rant about the 360.

Also if you don't think installing to the hdd helps then you should try playing Lost Odyssey with and w/o installing the game...

Haha. You're not the first person I've argued with about this.

I'm so sure it wasn't there before. Just the option for what it does when you put a disc in.

Problem is that it's not very easy to prove either way now.

But I remember it annoying me with the old dashboard and I'm so sure the option wasn't there.

There were 3 options on the old Blade system:

Disc: Game will start up automatically when you turn on the system (if no disc then the dashboard will appear)

Xbox Dashboard and Media Center were the other 2. I just checked right now as I still have the blades on my old Core 360 as I don't really use it anymore and it's not connected to the internet. I replaced it with an Elite 360 earlier this year.

The new XBL is a vast improvement over the original. And perhaps it aint perfect but its a move in the right direction.

 So I'm right?

Ahhhh...now I see. Here's where I misunderstood what you were saying "I also like that they've added the option to not start a game as soon as you put the disc in." I didn't see the "not" in there. Yeah you're right that is something new. Before I would always just leave my tray open when I was in the dashboard checking stuff out then push it closed to start my game. hehe

Yeah, that's what people were telling me to do whenever I complained about this. But my problem is that I'd've forgot and would've ended up treading on the disc tray.

You do realise that you could click on the "Close tray" option instead of getting up/moving to close it?

I personally pressed the guide button and quitted back to dashboard while it was loading.

How fun it is to reminisce about the hard times of the old dashboard. When I was a lad we had to leave the disc tray open, haha!

Sorry but I love the install on the 360.

It's quieter, on some games the load times are a little faster and I noticed a slight improvement on how the game looks.

Some points are valid I'll admit - but some is just plain bashing.

Saying that - I've not picked up a game since I destroyed Fable 2 - although I am seriously tempted to give The Last Remnant a spin!.... *goes back to WoW or Sackboy *shock horror*
