Those are my guesses for all mentioned events, so I guess I would say a toss up between Wii and PSP.

PS - I just did a quick glance at the numbers nothing deep.

Wii -> PSP -> 360 -> DS -> PS3

Just gave the Wii the benefit of the doubt because it has more buzz at the moment, the numbers I looked at make me think it will be close either way.


Ok, doing a more thorough numbers look....

Wii: 9-10 Weeks (Late Sept/Early Oct)
DS: 9-10 Weeks (Late Sept/Early Oct)
PSP: 10-11 Weeks (Early to Mid October)
PS3: 11-12 Weeks (Mid to Late October)
360: 9-11 Weeks (Late Spet to Early October)

Some of my original rates for sales for several consoles were off when I looked a bit deeper at the trends. My new prediction looks something like this...

DS -> 360 -> Wii -> PSP -> PS3

Honestly, some of these are way to close to call this far out but we can always take a stab at it.

PS - I am not sure how people think the PS3 will get to its goal before the 360 with Halo 3 coming soon. Edit: nm, I see the trend you are looking at now.

Honestly, all five of those milestones are going to be EXTREMELY close, and happening in the wee hours of October.



PS3: 5.51m/51w, avg 108,039/w (up 239)

Yeah they may be close but what is interesting is the difference in the numbers required.

To reach the goal...
DS needs 3.5 million
Wii needs 2 million
PSP needs 1.25 million
PS3 needs 1 million
X360 needs only 700,000 but will probably be last past the post, imo. Should MS be worried?

Better milestones are the following:

DS - 50m (huge milestone)
PSP - 25m
Wii - 15m (seeing as they are virtually at 10m)
360 - 15m
PS3 - 5m

DS -> PS3 -> PSP -> Wii -> 360

DS - 50m - Late October
PS3 - 5m - Late October/Early November
PSP - Early November
Wii - Late November
360 - March-April 2008



Prediction (June 12th 2017)

Permanent pricedrop for both PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro in October.

PS4 Slim $249 (October 2017)

PS4 Pro $349 (October 2017)

Reason: Well not much actualy, DS is selling insane so why not. PSP so close and is actualy selling ok.

Wii or x360 or PS3 last? have no idea actualy I think Wii well get bigger shippments because of Metroid. X360 Should get a boost because of the price cut making it possible to beat PS3 selling one million (x360 only needs to sell 700k).

The milestones are quit strange because I mean is actualy 12 million a milstone is 23.5 million a milstone? Whole 5 or 10 million is milestones

By picking these numbers as milestones I was making a race out of it. A race that can be won but not picked too easily. Where is the fun in picking the Wii to reach 20 million before the PS3 or X360 can make 10 million? That is a foregone conclusion.
All of these numbers should be reached by end of October but which will be first, which will be last? For me it is DS first, X360 last.
