Not just the hardware, the software launch should set new records. Maybe it will set new hardware records as well.

Are you kidding? In Japan there's nothing bigger than DQ. Nothing. Not even Final Fantasy, let alone KH. KH3 would be nice to complete the list though...

Yesterday i just posted in another thread that the Wii in Japan needed more love from 3rd party publishers just as Capcom is doing with Monster Hunter 3... I didn't think it would come from Square Enix, but they swallowed their pride (after doing crappy moves with MS) and did it, a main title from a huge JRPG franchise in Japan is going to the Wii!!!
Now Ninty, you have this year's E3 with a REALLY BIG 3rd party title, this is not the time to bring again that crazy woman to the stand, Iwata and Reggie have to do the show, promote the sh*t about this title (and other ones) and bring a really great show...
I really liked 12... put like 120 hours into got the toernsol and such.

Wii- 72 million 3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases
360- 37 million Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak
PS3- 29 million Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

Why bother saying it, though? Who even brought up the Wiimote? When I'm saying technology doesn't matter, I mean quite literally that technology doesn't matter. The Wiimote, as a piece of tech, doesn't matter. I'm curious as to why you thought it worth mentioning. This isn't a game we are trying to win, it is a communication of ideas. There are no points to be scored.
And I think you're wrong - it's not FFXIII's sales that will determine where the sequel goes. It is the Wii's, the PS3's, and the 360's.
