Sorry but Fable 2 didn't deserve GOTY i'd have preffered Gears of Fallout even.

fallout 3 wins rpg of the year. fable 2 gets game of the year?
nonsense.
fallout 3 should be game of the year.
Blasphemy. G4's Opinions we shall take as a single grain of salt.

To those who vehemently disagree with this list, would you care to share your own list and get everyone to agree with it? It's so easy to just write 'bullshit' and not offer any risks yourselves. Oh but I forgot that's what the Internet is for isn't it?
It wasn't necessarily aimed at you...but that logic was addressed in the thread previously - you can't pigeon-hole Fable 2 as simply an RPG, which is obviously what they chose to do when awarding these games. It'd be like if there was an action movie award and an overall best movie award and Transformers won best Action, but the Dark Knight won best overall movie...sure the Dark Knight is predominately an action movie but it offers much more than just action.
Actually, other than the odd Game of The Year choice, this is the best list I have seen yet. Although it's competing with IGN AU and Time Magazine, so there isn't much there.
Ah well, at least they didn't jump on the GTA4 hype bandwagon. I would say if they replaced Fable II with MGS4, that would be a perfect list.
You know what? I actually admire them. They clearly ignored hype and went for the game they personally thought was the best. I don't agree with them, but I can understand their choice.
Either that, or they're MASSIVE 360 fanboys :P
Still, every game of the year award that GTA4 doesn't win is a victory for the review system, in my opinion.
