Forums - Sony - Killzone = Halokiller ?

 ...me and millions of others say Halo is the best FPS. PC included. Far Cry meh, Doom 3, meh alot of good shooters. But I will always rather play through Halo 1-3 again. Even if it's to hear Masterchiefs great one liners with that voice. See Halo is like the Star Wars of videogames.

Okay...  selnor, you are hilarious.  In an awesome way, of course.

Playing Halo 1-3 over and over again, "to hear Masterchiefs great one liners with that voice".  That's classic.  That's like recording a golf tournament and watching it... over and over, getting excited each time your favorite player reaches the green on a hole where he manages to make par.   Lol.

You are, clearly, pretty serious about Halo, so I'll stop calling it generic, for your sake. ;)

Ok were heading towards the same page, but Killzone 2 will never be as successful as Halo. Ever. "Mechanics" wise, Killzone 2 is implementing a "badge system". Using this system, you can essentially allocate what your character can and cannot do. You have to have both. Yin and yang. Depending on how you set your character up, you will be specifically set to do certain things, and specifically set NOT to do other things. It's a level of strategy that has to be realized. And because of that, it won't be anywhere near as easy to pick up :/ The single player will be pretty generic with a ton of polish I agree. But it's multi-player is adding an additional layer of skill that most people probably won't have a taste for. If they want to see the same success with they're community, they're going to have to REALLY push. KZ2 won't be as easy to pick up and play as Halo.

Rofl, you're so annoying. Everytime I see you post, it's anti-360 with a HUGE BIAS, and you write whole essays and tl;dr's. You constantly stealth troll as well, and think nobody catches on.

You blew all your stealth trolling away by saying "..won't be easy to pick up as Halo." ROFL. Halo is one of the hardest games to get "pro" at, or even good at. When you first start playing you're going to get thrown around like a beansack, it takes alot of time to become good at a game like Halo.

I'm expecting some Sony trolls to come in here and say how easy it was for them to get kills, even though there's a 99% chance they just started playing and got put in a trueskill match with level 1's and low ranked people who never made it past Gunnery Sargent. I'm expecting a tl;dr response with spins from you, as well.

Halo died before it got started by games like Half-Life, Quake, and Unreal Tournament. Halo will never hold a candle compared to a game like Half-Life.

This. Killzone does not need to kill Halo, Halo has been dead from day one. It is probably the most overrated game series I have ever played.

@perpride

Yup. That sums it up right there. I was never impressed when I played Halo 3. Singleplayer was very boring and Multiplayer was meh. Call of Duty 4, however, was one of the best FPS's I've played in quite some time.

 I could say the same about Half Life and Quake. The only game I think was brilliant that you mention was UT. Halo imo is better than HalfLife and Quake. I reckon I could find 7mill people who side with me to, so dont be so dismissive in your posts.

@selnor - I'm pretty sure at least half of that 7 million probably still likes Quake or Half-Life better. Personally i can't believe there is even one of you

 There is no need to be personal. I wasnt personal to you. Posting personal comments is to far. I made a point about your posting  being dismissive when it's your opinion.

But personally attacking someone as in your last sentance is bad play.:(

LOLOLOLOLOLOL OMG @_@ I don't think you've understood a thing I've been talking about xD Halo is very easy to pick up and play, doesn't mean your going to be very good at it right off the bat. If you suck at shooters, your going to suck at Halo. It IS a shooter... My POINT however, is that if your great at ANY shooter out there, your not going to pick up halo and just suck. It's not how it works. Halo is a very simple shooter. On purpose... It's not a bad thing >_> I never said you couldn't have fun with it, or get amazingly good at it. I just said it's easier to do so than most titles. Halo doesn't throw some extra learning curve in your face, it's why so many people play it religiously -_- People tend to not play what they can't understand. There's no other way to put it o.O;;;

Stealth Troll... lolz I don't like the 360 at all, I think it was poorly made, I hate the company that created it, I think Microsoft is a pile of ass. I think gold is a rip-opp. I do NOT think however, that all the developers who made games for it suck. In fact, I like a few 360 titles thank you very much. There is no "stealth" in my bias against microsoft. That said, I'm certainly no troll. I don't care enough about the 360 to go bother your forum's, you won't see me in a gears 2 thread slandering it for no reason. This was a topic about Killzone 2 being a Halo "killer", and I'm simply stating my opinion that Halo is not a worth title to "kill".

Don't like my Essay's? Don't read them :)

tl;dr.  ;D

ROFL @ Halo is a very simple shooter. Your bias talks alot for you even though you obviously have never played the game online. (inb4 "l0l0l0L i haz played Halo 3 online! I swearz it!")

Yes, you're a stealth troll, LOL. I'm not talking about this particular topic, one can easily go see the topics you posted in and read your comments.

You're still a hugely biased stealth troll. Nothing you write is going to change that, rofl, but you can keep trying if you like.
