Forums - Gaming - IGN to change a review due to complaints

Who reviewed the game. Was it an IGN PC staple or a freelancer?

That's a shame, reviewers should be independant. Even if the review sucks, it's the reviewer choice, let him do his job!

It's like 1up changing their Skate It review...This is precisely why I feel that gaming review websites have become nothing more then glorified blogs.

...It's funny someone should complaint about IGN's Wii Music Review since it was the same type of review, lol.

No, it is nothing alike. They gave the game a 2, despite IGN UK giving it a 9.1, especially when they have no idea about the game. If you look at gamerankings, the other lowest review is 6.9, but most are closer to 9s

Backpedaling is worse than a bad review.

Worse by far.

lol

Doesn't matter. This just means their reviews don't mean anything. Their God Hand review still fills my head with bloody fury, but if they changed it it would be an admission of their own incompetence and they sacrifice all journalistic integrity in that scenario.

@ tremble: If the reviewer is too stupid to realize he is judging a game by the wrong standards, then it should be called back.

IGN did the only right thing in this case.

You can't expect a manager game to be compared to a football-play game. Completely different genres.

Nice of them to accept their mistake....

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD
