Sony does not have tons of money right now which makes this rumor unlikely for the time being, but you never know, their game division is starting to get back in the black (SCEE) and the other two are getting stronger.....I think Sony knows they really need a couple of RPG developers...it'll depend on economy too, if the dollar/Euro get stronger against the yen, then it's possible that they might be able to make a good offer to L5 or maybe another RPG developer like Atlus.

Bottom line is Sony never had to have a healthy RPG 1st Party developer before because the 3rd parties picked up the slack, but times have changed with the 360 and MS buying out exclusives....Sony needs to evolve and adapt and get  a couple of 1st party RPG developers. As Kasz216 said this is a good guess and the dude might get it right which will make him look more credible.

Insomniac need to go to the 1 game every 2 years plan, the new games show that they need the extra time. Dont get me wrong R2 and R&C:TOD are good games but another year and they would have been great.

If anyone can find a link to where Level-5 said they would offer themselves to Sony if WKC is successful, then you are my hero.

Agreed Insomniac are great and all, but they just can't seem to match their "older brother" Naughty Dog when it comes to quality. They could probably match their quality if they started developing their games for two years instead of only one.

I would if there were any reality in it, I would be very happy, but as long as they're not, no. I don't like it that I and others are being made happy by something which isn't even real.

@Mirson when I type in level 5 offering to Sony in google I get VGchartz at the top of the list and somewhere boardus.playstation, but with the same links as mentioned here.

I would take the decreased wait over those few extra points, I doubt the sales would make up for that extra development time. They would probably have to decrease the size of their studio

Another thing its the same when someone on a Dutch website posted that SOIV was going to the PS3 and he got the link from N4G, the only website mentioning it.. It was false information in the end.

I and others among me were really pissed and disappointed when it turned out to be false rumors.
