Both games are selling quite well, LBP must already be in the black. Resistance 2 suffered from the Killzone 2 hype though, so many people I know are holding off for KZ 2 in Feb 09. COD WOW certainly did not help the cause either.

 they're the decreases in Jan for software. It shows that people still buy SW at higher levels in Jan before the Holiday boost isn't in effect anymore before sales settle down.

I guess it depends on what you mean by "deserves". There are a lot of games out there that many gamers feel "deserve" better sales, but I'm not sure what that means. Does a game deserve better sales because a subset of the population thinks it's the greatest thing since sliced bread? Or does it deserve the sales it gets based on consumer demand, marketing budget, etc.?

If games got the sales they deserved then Beautiful Katamari on the 360 should have sold a bazillion copies... well, in my humble opinion, anyway.

And I really do wish games like LBP were more successful for the same reason I think kids should want science toys for Christmas instead of video games.
