I guess it depends on what you mean by "deserves". There are a lot of games out there that many gamers feel "deserve" better sales, but I'm not sure what that means. Does a game deserve better sales because a subset of the population thinks it's the greatest thing since sliced bread? Or does it deserve the sales it gets based on consumer demand, marketing budget, etc.?

If games got the sales they deserved then Beautiful Katamari on the 360 should have sold a bazillion copies... well, in my humble opinion, anyway.

And I really do wish games like LBP were more successful for the same reason I think kids should want science toys for Christmas instead of video games.
