UO for me was the best when I played on shard (I never played on official servers)... you have some shard where they developed rather good maps and scripts.... and it's the one IMO offering the most possibilities when you script it yourself.... you can push the AD&D system to it's maximum
but it's really not a game you play for graphics though... WoW don't even come close than an UO shard you like in term of possibilities...

Aye, UO is the best.... No MMORPG comes near it. It's a very complex game and requires alot of skill to pvp. It is rich in all it has to offer. It;s the one mmo that I can never leave, I have tried but you make great friends and great enemies. No other game offers the community or the skill.

You can basically make any template you want. ie want a mage who is also a ninja, or a warrior  who is a cook.  The skill level system is the best. You have 700 skill points and 50 skills to make and tweak as you like.

Plus build and design your own house, make guilds, make a guild house, make your own events like tournies, casino or auction house.  Beats the shit out of leveling up.  Make leet wepaons and armour.

anyways some ppl should try uo... if you like complex stats etc in making your the right suit, wepaons and leet character :P

I looked at Silkroad Online yesterday, would you recommend it? Looks and sounds like fun, but I'm unsure of the interface and the mechanics. And is it really as history-based as it seems? If it is, it'd be perfect for me!

yeah and when you go to some private shard you can push those limit even further with their home madescripts... I use to be on a shard where they took 5 years to develope the skill system... and is way over 150 now.... and the XP system is based on time not power leveling etc... to bad it's a fench shard I would have gave you the link to the detailed explanation of the system... it's crazy what they did....
