I remember a post on here, I believe a news post, that was full of trolling of this nature, but yeah ninty fans did the same.  the second part what I meant was the superiority complex we see where HD fanboys deflate a game as shovelware and hype of anything they deem "hardcore" and anything on the wii as shovelware.  case and point, wii owners were stoked to see Tenchu 4 on the wii, HD fanboys ran in and cried "shovelware!", "cash in", "tired franchise" etc....had it been on the HD consoles it would have been a different story.

I loved SotC btw, hopefully this game is half as good.

I'm not so sure, the last few Tenchu games have been ballz and skepticism would have happened no matter what console it was on. I remember that thread and most people initially didn't realize it was being made by the original Tenchu team and not the Developers who have made the last couple. Once people learned of this they backed off.

But it's not like marginalizing a game is native to only the HD crowd. There have been a few cases where a HD game with pretty graphics comes around and a Wii owner pipes up "pfft, doesn't matter how nice it looks till we see some gameplay". (even though that is true)

I hear ya, this was especially prevalent in all the anti-LBP threads.

There's a lot more to Shadow of the Colossus than giant monsters.

I do see a resemblance in that one boss battle, but I'm guessing the final game will be extremely different and nowhere near as amazing.

it will not be as epic as shadow of colossus simply because it try to imitate it.

but it have it similarities.

HUGE bosses, to beat require to hit certain marked weak points.

but all the package team ico (GENIOUS seriously) won't have it.

Shadow of the Colosus wasn't the first game to use Huge bosses that are required to be hit at certain spots

Yes, but it's the best.

Yeah, but he seemed to think it was the first game to do it.  When it wasn't... and it wasn't even the first game to do it well.

So therefore it wouldn't be copying SoTC if it was.... but instead one of the first games to do it successfully.

Of which... I can't even imagne what it would be.

Some NES game probably.
