I know he is improving the site, but he should have an admin or mod be resposible for sending out e-mails to Developers and Publishers and see if any of them will release any sold numbers on games from last generation. This information is not really sensitive as some game companies have posted the results on their sites, i'm sure many of them will be glad to help their loyal fans out.

Well, yes, i think you're correct, openly questioning the site will lead the site being seen more credible in publics eyes, since the sites popularity is in a level, that usually someone can be found that answers the questions. Although, the way to get the questions answered is this site. And the blind faith, i believe everyone who has been longer in this site, have questioned the credibility at some point, atleast to himself, and we actually are pretty critical. Every time some outside data is available, we are looking how similar it is with VGC data. We also don't usually make threads "OMG PS3 undertracked by 10k in december" (although, for people visiting this site it would be good), but that doesn't mean the data would not be critisized. And one thing to remember is, that when looking at the whole data VGC provides, VGC is the most accurate source available.
