It's been a long summer. Now, obviously it's not over, but the wave of epic movies is. Spiderman 3, Shrek the Third, and Pirates of the Caribbean made over 2.6 billion dollars combined, and hits like Knocked Up only added to Hollywood's riches.

However, a great season of movies doesn't mean that a dry spell must ensue (that's what seperates the movie industry from the games industry). There are still a lot of great movies to see, whether released in theaters already or just pending release.

Essentially, what movies that are somewhat new or not even out yet are you excited for?

I'm still looking forward to seeing I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry and Rush Hour 3. Superbad looks like it will be a great film too.

Harry potter 5,

I was just watching the 3rd Harry Potter movie, and it seemed terrible. Strengthened what was already a strong fear of seeing the 5th movie.

The 3rd one sucked, the 4rth one was kik ass, and the secound one sucked, the first one was good. The 5th should be good since the dark wizard is there.

For 2007... 

Rush Hour 3 (Aug) - I loved the other two movies.

Stardust (Aug) - Because it's basied on a story by Neil Gaiman.  Hopefully they don't butcher it too much.

The Invasion (Aug) - Because Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig are in it.

Superbad (Aug) - Looks like a really funny teen comedy.

Resident Evil: Extinction (Sept) - I want to see where they take the series.

30 Days of Night (Oct) - I love Vampire movies.

Beowulf (Nov) - Looks interesting and Neil Gaiman cowrote the screenplay.

The Mist (Nov) - I liked the original Stephen King short story. 

His Dark Materials: The Golden Compass (Dec) - I heard about the books and I'm curious about the movie.

I Am Legend (Dec) - Last man on earth  + Many many many vampires = My kind of movie

Alien vs. Predator 2 (Dec) - Maybe I'm hurting for punishment but I'll be seeing this one.
