Forums - Sony Discussion - Uncharted 2 Trailer supposedly using the in game engine.

Yea, I really like the snow. White snow. If you love it too, won't you let me know?

nyone knows at what frame rate resolution and what AA will it have? what did Uncharted 1 have anyways?

720p Resolution. I don't know the framerate but I played it after Assassin's Creed and was almost taken back by how much smoother the camera rotated than in AC.

@EVERYONE: Naughty Dog said the Uncharted 2 Teaser was "Real-Time", that's something totally different than "In-Game". There is a difference you know. I'm not saying Uncharted 2 won't look good, i still think Uncharted 1 is one of the best (looking) games this generation, but i'm just saying there is a difference, so don't be dissapointed if it turns out the actual game doesn't look as crisp and detailed as what we've seen in this teaser.

Anyway, i Do have faith that they'll come close with the in-game graphics. Besides, Uncharted 2 is already one of my most-wanted games for 2009, so it doesn't really matter. Uncharted 1 was that impressive! Gameplay-, Graphics- and Story-wise!

Good point.  It is normally possible to render in the game engine to produce a cinematic at a higher resolution/level of detail than during gameplay.

Still, I really liked Uncharted, and believe this will be good.  More than the trailer (BTW I agree with others that is the prop from The Shadow, or its kissing cousin) I'm interested by the hints the climbing, etc. will be more freeform and they're going to expand on the gameplay variety this time around.

But where's Elena?  Like Indy are we going to get a different 'love' interest each time or will she pop up at some point?  Another Indy punch hommage would be nice.  Out of all the games this gen so far only Uncharted game me characters I actually liked.  Nathan's nice sense of scoundral but upset at ditching Elena early on, Sully as a likeable but purely mercenary character (admitedly driven by his urgent need to settle some old debts) and Elena as an actually believably proportioned woman.

I hope they smooth the narrative better though, and handle the villians better next time around.  My main gripe with Uncharted was the way major/minor villans appeared without any decent framing (particularly Navaro).

Oh, and snow... guess we're headed off to a very different climate this time around too - at least part of the time anyway.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Oh please, I'm not saying the game does not look amazing, but FFX CGI looked better that that and that was 7-8 years ago. it is easy to tell the difference between CGI and RT, especially since CGI nowadays looks better than reality
Anyhow, uncharted 2 will look absolutely amazing, makes me wish I had a PS3

yep cgi looks better than reality. I do believe thats not possible and even if it is we are not up to that standard just yet

OT: yes uncharted 2 does look amazing!

The thing that looked best was his frosted tips!! Get it get it?! Ahhh you guys suck.
