Forums - Microsoft - What is Microsoft's marquee title for 2009?

There were also rumors that Microsoft lapped up the Mass Effect trilogy, so it wouldn't go multi-plat (also, what would you do with ME2 when the story is going to rely so heavily on ME1, for a system that never got the game?)

There are a few answers, but it's likely that MS hasn't revealed what it will be. For all we know, MS could get timed exclusivity to FFXIII in the West - who knows.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Halo 3: Recon. Every year they alternate Halo and Gears as their marque title. Except 2005.

Windows 7

Gears 2 was announced this year at E3... so maybe I'll tell you after the 2009 E3 presentation...

At GDC, actually. Maybe we'll find out in March!

Gears 2 was announced at GDC, but we all knew it was coming. >_>

Did anyone seriously not believe Gears 2 was coming this year?

And I don't want to get into a ME argument, so let's drop the whole thing.

We'll see. Microsoft is good at these things.

Who knows at this point. MS isn't as bad as Nintendo but they tend to keep things close to the vest. We could speculate on any number of titles until we get more concrete info.

Peter Jackson's Halo

I'm hoping for something more Action Adventure, less FPS.

Microsoft is actually pretty crap at keeping these things a secret, which is why I made this thread. The price cuts, Avatars and the like were all leaked way before being announced. >_>

Figured we would have stumbled across something by now.
