Before the Wii launch, Nintendo and the gaming media were like, "WiiConnect24 updates games with new levels while you sleep". So far, I haven't seen anything at all in any game, even first-party, that benefits from 24-hour standby connected to the internet. Wii Shop, Yes, but that wasn't the point - it was meant to be better than Sony or Microsoft. For instance when that Zelda TP fatal bug came out they could have used WC24, but they didn't. I've come to the conclusion that Nintendo isn't embracing online as much as Sony or Microsoft. Friend codes are a mess with different games using their own systems and the online content hasn't changed as much or been shown off in the media as much as PSN or Xbox live. MKDS online is great and everything, but that could have been done in 2001 on the Gamecube. Or am I missing the point?
