When you turn on the faucet to wash your hands, the water is cold and uncomfortable. You tolerate it because you believe, eventually the water will become warm if you wait long enough. But after a certain amount of time, if the water does not become warm, it is logical to assume that there is something wrong.

Then, you take the water and make Ramen noodles. Or Kool-aid.

I bought 3 of these things thinking I could turn a profit...somehow.

Now I have to rely on finding enjoyment out of *gasp* playing video games on these things? I don't see how that could even be possible concidering the sales numbers.

This is the portion that boggles the brain with the obsession with sales #s. People talk of selling their console because it isn't selling well when the real question is whether they are enjoying their gaming on the system. You get members who spend more time whining here than even playing any game. We get mad that a game didn't do well when the reason this happened is because we didn't buy it either.

My roommate probably doesn't even know which system is selling best at the current time, all he does in his spare time is play bad company on his ps3. This is gaming in it's purest form.

I guess it's human nature to "follow the crowd" I've never been that kind of person so I wouldn't know.

A lot of the "doom and gloom" posts usually come in the particular sales region sections. Seems like that's where a lot of the back and forth blows seem to be generated.

It is nice to have a consolidated thread for this. Perhaps when PS3 sales pick up and the 360 doom threads begin again, we can have another one of these threads for said console. Thanks BengaBenga.

Someone told me that the Intellivision died in 1985 as well, but I don't believe them, I'll just keep playing Utopia & B-17 bomber until a new release comes out.
