I bought 3 of these things thinking I could turn a profit...somehow. Now I have to rely on finding enjoyment out of *gasp* playing video games on these things? I don't see how that could even be possible concidering the sales numbers.

This is the portion that boggles the brain with the obsession with sales #s. People talk of selling their console because it isn't selling well when the real question is whether they are enjoying their gaming on the system. You get members who spend more time whining here than even playing any game. We get mad that a game didn't do well when the reason this happened is because we didn't buy it either.
My roommate probably doesn't even know which system is selling best at the current time, all he does in his spare time is play bad company on his ps3. This is gaming in it's purest form.
I guess it's human nature to "follow the crowd" I've never been that kind of person so I wouldn't know.
