Forums - Sales Discussion - Why won't soy make any pricecuts?????

Soy is a very energy intensive crop, and while it is better for you than beef, most people don't seem to care for the added health benefits.  Every time a burger is released in both, beef always seems to get the most flavorful and highest selling version while the soy version is always bland or comes out late.  Restaurants like Wendy's have also gone beef exclusive, while McDonalds which one used to only serve soy has now gone multi-ingredient.  And then there is that casual friendly, white meat chicken, which seems to be selling more than beef and soy combined, but that is a different market segment because it tastes so old.  Unlike those other foods soy is also a vegetable and dairy, but lately other vegetables and dairy products are cheaper, and some people are buying them instead of soy.

Without more sales, soy will remain high priced.  But we think for the price per pound nothing else comes close to soy, because nothing else is vegetable/dairy/meat rolled into one product.  But worry not, unlike those other foods, soy is on a 10,000 year product cycle.

Seriously ,how much you gotta pay for soy milk in your country?
In Thailand about 10 Baht's enough to buy almost half liter of soy milk.(35 Baht= 1$).

I know TC talk about Sony not Soy ,but hey i'm interested to know that more. :D

Because it's soylent green not soylent deep red.

Because they can't afford a price cut at the moment. :O

soy is pretty cheap now and real good for you. Try a soy burger tonite

I dunno. Soy sauce is already pretty cheap.

Sony is not making any profits per PS3 console sold. A price cut would make an even bigger loss on PS3.

No trolling, please.

I could never understand the appeal of soy milk. I prefer my soy solid, like metal gear.
