Forums - Gaming - Nintendo is at that point, where it could increase the price.

I mean,if it would increase 10$ it woulnd't effect pretty hard on customers.

If it would increase 30-50$,well it would make many many people angry, but well what can you do?

Just look at these crazy sales....

What do you think?

No way they'll increase the price... altough Nintendo most probably will keep it the same for a long time...

The Wii costs now 2449 kr in Sweden, it used to cost 2389 kr. 1$ = 8 kr

But I think it's just the exchange rate that's different :)

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

If the exchange rates continue going down the crapper, they may have to increase software prices instead. From Nintendo's and Sony's perspective, the software (and hardware) they ship overseas is severely discounted these days.

Although that would benefit Nintendo financially in the short term, doing so would only leave a bad taste in the consumers collective mouth.

It would be in their best interest to keep the prices the same. It's best not to get too cocky.

There's no point of an increase. The wii is selling about 200k weekly. Besides I think Nintendo won't care if their own handheld is outselling the Wii.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY

- ignore.

It would be unprecedented in the gaming industry. Many consumers would not look upon it kindly, and with the 360 at a lower price, it could have negative effects on their sales numbers.

Considering it's been over two years since launch, just holding the price with the same SKU is a pretty substantial feat.

I'm saying that they are doing so well that they could do it...
