We've done a bunch of lists that are similar to this in the past, but it's a slow news day, so I thought we could get the newer posters in on the action. Let's put a small twist on this one: list the games you like best in 2007 -- either those you HAVE or WILL purchase. Either is fine. I'm going to make a top 5 listing for me!

1. Team Fortress 2 (TFC is my favorite game ever) Release Oct. 2 2007
2. Wii Sports (This game single handedly got me back in to console gaming) Purchased May 2007
3. Endless Ocean (This game design sounds so exciting to me!) Release November 2007
4. Wii Fit (It may not come out this year in the US, but I am very excited for this game) Release December(?) 2007
5. Unreal Tournament 3 (I play FPS almost entirely for skill based multiplayer, this is a hallmark title in that field) Release November 2007

I may buy Metroid Prime 3, Super Mario Galaxy, BioShock or Crysis if the games receive good reviews and seem to be palatable to my tastes. I'd definitely consider picking up a few other games such as Afrika, Little Big Planet and Mass Effect as well, if they were released on platforms I own.

Are you in any UT clans?

1.Heavely sword- If it delivers, it will deliver an epic experience

2.Assasins creed-the game might not be as good as I expected

3.Uncharted:drake-More action adventure games are good

4.WARHAWK-the bluetooth bundle sold me, and its comin aug 28!!!!

5.God of war-psp, yes it will deliver
 

And lookin foward to UT3, and for next year Killzone 2 and LBP.

I used to compete with FFOS, but I dropped out of UT-pro about 2 years ago. I don't know how familiar you are with high end UT, but FFOS was a mid-level professional clan with (technically) British roots. There is no way I could compete with the best at this point though :/

If I'm going to get back in to professional gaming (and, to behonest, I kind of hope I don't, as I'm not sure it's healthy for me), it will be in Team Fortress. My old clan -- 404 -- may get back together for it, but even if they don't, I'm still practicing in preparation.  

1.Super Mario Galaxy- looks amazing, Mario is my second favorite series

2.Smash Bros. Brawl- if it has online then its #1

3.Mass Effect- looks like THE RPG of the year

4.Bioshock- doesn't look like a generic FPS

5.Metroid Prime 3- if the controls are as good as they say, then this goes up to #4

I'm also really looking forward to Assassin's Creed, Battalion Wars 2, Zack and Wiki, Heavenly Sword, and Little Big Planet.

Games that I'm not excited for- Halo3, Uncharted, UT3, Endless Ocean, Wii Fit

Yes, 2/5 totally qualifies as a list filled to the brim with immature and violent games. I feel, ck, that now that you are a mod, you might do better to lay off the personal attacks on someone who is merely stating the games they are excited for this year. You are, after all, representing the runners of the site now.

Furthermore, I remember the conversation, and he argued that violent games were like the action movies of Hollywood: appealing to the 18-25 yo males. He then said that games like brain age tended to be played by older people, like intellectual, artistic movies. Which is true, statistically.

As for my list:
Super Mario Galaxy, SSB:B, Geometry Wars, GH3, and (hoping beyond hope for) a Wii Rock Band.

Since this is effectively the same flame that you posted in another thread, I'll simply ask you to calm down again, and remain on topic, please.
