Well I don't know; I love classic Sonic but people complains a lot about short games these days.

They should take a cue from Mega Man 9 and make a retro-style downloadable Sonic.

You should congratulate me. I destroyed the vile red falcon and saved the universe. I consider myself a hero.
I can understand his point that all that running would turn into some pretty big levels they have to make just to hit a three hour game. But I think I'd rather have three hours of that and them not tacking on several more hours of other nonsense like a werewolf.
Why not take a cue from Secret Rings and reuse the exsisting levels to create multiple challenges? Getting gold on all those took a huge chunk of time for me to do.
It's funny, cause Sonic and the Black Knight looks like it focuses more on the speed, though a little fast-paced combat is tossed in.

Me too.
Oh come on, look at Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 and Knuckles. Those games lasted for a good while.

If that game ends of being exactly that It would be awesome.

It's just a lame excuse. You shouldn't have to keep running. If you didn't jump at just the right time you would stop in the original Sonics as you ran into a wall, cliff, spikes, etc... My biggest complaint with Sonic and the Secret rings is it was so hard to stop running, or to go backwards. You could turn around in the original Sonic, I don't know why such features were removed...
I wouldn't mind it if a speed run took 3 hours. If they didn't put in so much scripted movements and made the game so easy, there is no way you could do it in that amount of time the first time through...
