It's too bad Microsoft couldn't just throw another 50 million and buy exclusivity for the main game as well. Imagine the impact it would have on sales in North America and Europe...

How many times do people have to say this, sony says its running at 60fps and EA confirmed it weeks ago. |
Really?
I have not read that... do you have a link... last I heard it was 30fps on ps3 and 60fps on 360... from many sources. I would love to read that article if you have a link.
Thanks!
Is there ANY evidence to suggest that T2 have been paid money by Sony to stop GTA releasing on the 360 early? No?
How many sales would T2 lose if they could release on the 360, but didn't - purely because of some contractual penalty? Several million? Hundreds of millions of revenue?
No chance Sony paid them money IMO. And definitely no chance for it to be substancial enough to delay one skew if the other wasn't ready.
90% of the game is common to both platforms. The game just isn't ready - too much work to do, and not enough time to do it.
The only thing Patcher got right is that the new management should have announced this earlier. But its not their fault anyway - its still up to the producer to sit down with the management to review the game. And make no mistake - its a huge decision to delay it. Not something you do lightly. Lots of meetings, risk analysis, bean counters involved, etc.
In the end, they did make the right decision. The game will sell whenever they release it - its just important to make sure that its a quality game, and drive sales over the next 2-3 years.

False. Show me the link please. EA confirmed that ALL EA Sports titles on the PS3 run at 30fps. Its common knowledge, and due to the fact that their engine isn't optimised enough for the PS3 yet.
Next year, they should have everything running at 60fps.

I was a bit saddened until i saw it was Pachter who "analyzed" this bit of speculation/rumor/conjecture.

==> +1 for shams,
@thors1982+andamanen+leo-j,
I was going to say "madden will run at 60 FPS"
but it seems there was wrong information circulating on the web,
I just give u a recent link :
http://www.psxextreme.com/ps3-news/1590.html
this show that Madden on PS3 will NOT run at 60 FPS ...sad
@Legend11,
The only demo that was shown to develloper was an Xbox360 version because the PS3 version is late.
In this Xbox360, there were already a lot of bug, clipping, framerate issue etc ...So i m not sure PS3 programmatin is the big problem.
Time to Work !
Just a lot of speculation.
Some say it is PS3's fault others says the game is to big for DVD :s;
Just wait and hope their is an official word from Rockstar about this delay.

Well, if Rockstar does not come out with a statement soon....
Look at it this way, Skate which is coming out in September for the 360 is coming out in October for the PS3. Stranglehold is delayed a few weeks on the PS3. The list of multi-platform games being delayed on the PS3 is far more common than on the 360. So if the game is being delayed because of one of the platforms then the chances are likely it's the PS3.
