It's very simple why I took a hard-edge response to him:
If you want to rant and rave how "Microsoft screwed you over", when in fact, they hadn't in a Microsoft forum, I feel that any reply giving the truth, without namecalling, is appropriate.
I never said anything negative or bad to him, other than sugguesting that he actually research information about the subject before he posts.
If someone here was ranting and raving how that "Sony screwed me over with no backwards compatability" because he bought one without the Emotion Engine, I would expect a similar response. It's obvious he's wrong, and just didn't do his research.
Everyone attacking me NEVER has tried to answer him, or talk about his problem, only attack me. That really shows your maturity, doesn't it? We're trying to discuss the warranty here, which he's obviously wrong about. I pointed it out without namecalling, or ranting about his stupidity (which I could of done). However, instead of you agreeing with me, since I am an Xbox 360 peon trying to "defend Microsoft's honor" you don't feel the need to post something appropriate to add to the discussion, your just showing your own bias.
It's very simple: act stupid, get treated stupid. There's an "edit" button you can use as well as a "report to mod" button that lets you askf or threads to be locked, or reported due to flaming. All the ways he could of avoided getting treated like he's treating mis-information. He could edited his post, or locked it, or something of those nature(s) but didn't.
I just merely asked him to check his info before posting. How in the world is that rude?
