Koei announced Dynasty Warriors 6 (Japanese name : Shin Sangoku Musou 5) releases for not only PS3 but also XBOX360.

In Japan, Koei plans release date will be same.

I don't care until I hear it's on the Wii, dammit.

I don't care even if it comes out for the Wii. This is one game that epitomizes "lather, rinse, repeat" development IMO.

I didn't even know this game was PS3 exclusive. Weren't 4 and 5 on the original Xbox? And as others have said, aren't these games bad?

So now the only savior left is FF XIII for PS3 in Japan. Interesting.

Not a big deal anyway, besides PS3 losing more exclusives.

It's not "bad" - I think it's more an "acquired taste".

You can pretty much pass the game by continually pressing the same button over and over again while racking up insane combos with enemies that don't do much (only the "bosses" require brain power). It's those qualities of hacking and slashing thousands of enemies to pieces that is the main draw. Co-op is the same story for the most part.

Some people love this kind of pick-up-and-play gaming - it's just not my cup of joe. 

The PS2 versions always had timed exclusivity before.

And yes, Your Mother, it is ones of those kind of games. Why call it out? Do you say that every year when Madden comes out? What about any other annual sports game? Milked. Hard. Who cares? As long as there are minor updates and the same thing people love the game will sell. And that's good, because before Dynasty Warriors 3 I hardly knew anyone that had acually heard of Koei.

But, let's be honest. If the game was on the Wii, it'd have plenty of variety to keep it fresh for a long, long time if you like hack and slash. I think I could put as much time into is as I put into 4 (well over 100 hours) if I can find that kind of time.

Edit:  I am, however, willing to take it as a sub-game in the series on the Wii if Koei woul finally update their damn engine.  I do agree it's been a bit too simplistic and with the power the PS3 and 360 have they can do a much better job.

Yep. Multi-Plat status with 360 means a good deal in US/EU, but basically every game that's developed for both will be 90/10 PS3/360 in Japan, I suspect. Not just in terms of Software sales, but hardware sales accompanying those releases.
