Wait, we're really talking Gears of Evil? I just assumed that was hyperbole and that it would still play essentially like RE4.

It'll play like Resident Evil 4....With 2 player co-op through most of the game. To me (and other RE diehards), that takes out a lot of the survival horror elements, imo.

Let's hope they can still make it scary. You know one of the reasons Mikami scrapped the original RE4 was that it was so frightening even he couldn't play it? I read it on the internet.

it'll be the worst selling RE because PS3 and 360 have a combined low user base.

RE4 took out the survival horror elements already...this is just the next step.

The only parts in RE4 that were survival horror were the 15 minutes you play with ashley...and when you encounter the Regenerator.

The RE5 developers said they were going for gameplay like Gears of War, if I remember correctly. So as far as I'm concerned, yes, it's Gears of Evil now. Or Resident Gears. :P

QFT, my uncle died on the first Ganado in RE4Wii, let alone anything in RE5 with analog sticks.
