I fully agree. In the West it will be different though.

I don't think Capcom actually expects the game to do well in Japan. RE really is a shooter right now (which makes me sad actually).

We will find out next year when it launches and you could be right. RE5 looks like a mix of a few Western games already on the market.

Definitely worst selling in Japan but it will be the best selling RE worldwide.

Not really, the game will sell more in the western world. Lose sales in Japan but gain many more sales in the west. Is an excellent business move.

The market is already saturated with shooters.  I was kinda hoping RE5 would be a survival horror like the rest of the series but It seems it's going to be more Gears of Evil than anything else.

If you're counting different versions as different games then Resident Evil 0 for the Wii is your target - 60k sales

Else Resident Evil: Deadly Silence is your target on 90k
