Forums - Gaming - Sonic Xtreme for the Sega Saturn will soon exist!

Sonic Xtreme being unreleased is just like Super Mario 64 being unreleased. It's never too late to bring back a piece of history. It will still dilute the number of crappy games that exist. And if the pixels bother you that much, they could upgrade the game for the Xbox 360, or Playstation 3. I would want the game to be released on the Saturn, since graphics mean nothing, and the Saturn was the game's destiny to begin with. I want Sonic Xtreme on the Sega Saturn. It was never meant to not exist. It's a piece of history that should have been released. Its existence could have also changed the unfortunate path Sonic took. It could have prevented the series from being inspired by the Sonic X T.V. series. Project S better finish the game, or I will be mad.

Wow... Sonic Xtreme looks EXACTLY like what I thought sonic 3-d games should look like... gameplay wise. Its a shame it wasnt released...

I think sticking to an on-rails like system like Sonic and the Secret Rings is the best way to go.

The biggest problem with that game for me was the stupid voices that plagues nearly every Sonic 3D game...I wish Sonic didn't always have a 'tude.

But then I suppose Sonic is all about the attitude...that 90s punk attitude...
Maybe that's why nobody cares about Sonic anymore...he's best left in the 90s.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Just as an FYI, it becomes "meant to not exist" when the project is cancelled.

Sonic Xtreme was cancelled.

I suppose sega could finish sonic x treme and release it as wii ware for $10... and then port it to xbox live arcade. They would surely turn a profit.

Holy shit....

Good thing you have no idea how many games have been canned, especially in an advanced stage of development.
