Oh and MS's Avatars are so Original? and the Wii's BC is original? Please...

  ...

For the record, BC dates back to 1984 when the Atari 7800 played (almost) all Atari 2600 games without any added hardware.

you have to admit, thats pretty cool

Folks,

As others have said, this is third-party prototype technology that Sony does not appear to be interested in releasing (this generation at least).

And to be honest, putting it on the market now would make it as successful as the Eye Toy, so I think it is a wise business decision. If you want such an option, you incorporate it into the design so people could it would have wide use.

u acting like MS and Nintendo never stole any ideas either. Mario, YES MARIO was originally owned by Rare. the guy with the red hat in the original donkey kong game was mario, he was just called jump man and they changed it to mario, and we all know rare was never owned by nintendo. as for MS the dashboard was just their way of stealing sony's XMB used in the PSX and PSP, lets not forget their wii like avatars

all games are influenced by sucessful games and as long as they bring something new to the table there is nothing wrong with taking ideas with no copyrights.

Dude, just stop. Mario was never IP of Rare, ever. Nor was Donkey Kong.

Just stop, you're making this forum look like Gamespot.com

Exactly, Donkey Kong was created by Shigeru Miyamoto, also known as the creator of Super Mario Bros, the game that saved the industry back in the 80's, and Mario was created first in the Donkey Kong games, all of that by Shigeru Miyamoto...

Rare developed a Nintendo game from an IP created by Shigeru when they did Donkey Kong country on the Super NES late years...

lol I got the impression that he was talking about next gen…

@Xen if you are talking about this gen then forget it!

I was talking about next-gen indeed. My first post in this thread clearly talks about Sony going with this controller for their next console, not the PS3.

Ok, but as I said it won’t be easy to kick Nintendo’s ass actually this is what will make next gen interesting, everyone will have motion controllers. This reminds me of what Iwata said, that he wanted the Wii mote to be the standard controller in the market. It is happening!

i still find it funny hwo people argue about ass kicking. Nintendo has NEVER had one. WHY? because everytime they release a system they make a profit.

Nintendo, Sony, Micrososft arn't your friends, they are companies trying to make money. To them in reality it doesn't matter which position they come in as long as they profit.

this does make me curious. Im sure Donkey kong was first, but when did the original mario bros come out? There was one before Super Mario Bros. a single screen with 3 platforms and sewer pipes....

Mario Bros is an arcade game, just like Donkey Kong, it was released in 1983, and then it was ported to different consoles, just like Donkey Kong... Nintendo released tons of games for the arcades, before releasing the FAMICOM...

Super Mario Bros is a FAMICOM title that came in 1985, and since that year the NES was launching here, they made this one a NES launch title, i remember that all my friends and i said "Another Atari from Japan??? Naaahhhhh" then we saw this game and it was madness, all of us doing extra work to buy the console (Most of our parents were so skeptical because of the crash that they were only buying it if it was really cheap for them, so we had to match the difference), saving lunch money, at the end, all of us had a NES (and i got a FAMICOM a year later because an asian friend had really strong J-connections, after that i sold my NES and bought an adapter to play the NES-only games)...

Donkey Kong came out befor Jump Man, jump man was a success and the off shoot was Mario.
