u acting like MS and Nintendo never stole any ideas either. Mario, YES MARIO was originally owned by Rare. the guy with the red hat in the original donkey kong game was mario, he was just called jump man and they changed it to mario, and we all know rare was never owned by nintendo. as for MS the dashboard was just their way of stealing sony's XMB used in the PSX and PSP, lets not forget their wii like avatars
all games are influenced by sucessful games and as long as they bring something new to the table there is nothing wrong with taking ideas with no copyrights.

Dude, just stop. Mario was never IP of Rare, ever. Nor was Donkey Kong.
Just stop, you're making this forum look like Gamespot.com

Exactly, Donkey Kong was created by Shigeru Miyamoto, also known as the creator of Super Mario Bros, the game that saved the industry back in the 80's, and Mario was created first in the Donkey Kong games, all of that by Shigeru Miyamoto...
Rare developed a Nintendo game from an IP created by Shigeru when they did Donkey Kong country on the Super NES late years...

this does make me curious. Im sure Donkey kong was first, but when did the original mario bros come out? There was one before Super Mario Bros. a single screen with 3 platforms and sewer pipes....
