Weren't they supposed to be 499?

Could be the weakening canadian dollar... its now around  $0.78-$0.80

I've noticed that Fallout 3 is at $64.99 and so was Call of Duty:WaW

The Canadian dollar sucks these days, that's why.

Any console that is more than twice the price of the competition isn't looking to sell much...

How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...

I think a lot of retailers will try bundling a game with the PS3. In Canada, EB Games stores are giving away a game with the 80gigs.

That Future Shop deal on the 360 is pretty sweet even if you don't like the games that come with it. Moms and dads buying for their kids just see 4 free games versus the PS3 with either no game or $520 for one game. When they see four free games they figure there must be one their kid will like, as opposed to shelling out even more money so the givee will have something to play right away.

The PS3 bundle with Uncharted is pretty good. I just don't like the price they put the bundle at.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY

When the xbox360 is available for 299 for a model that offers the whole xbox360 experience, which is arguably as good as anything PS3 is offering if not better, having a bundle that is 220 more expensive is just madness.

??? Without the game, with very expensive hard-drive should you need more space, no HD player, no Wi-Fi...

Sorry Sony's price policy is ridiculous this christmas, they need to drop prices to not loose it, but this sentence is simply not true.

On my lunch break I went to see whats new at BB and FS here in downtown Toronto (Canada) and I noticed that PS3 has new bundles available. This one...

They were proudly on display next to the Xbox pros and elites. Now this bundle was talked about here quite a bit and has a 160 GB hard drive and Uncharted. the price for this bundle here in Canada is 519 dollars + tax.

I'm sorry but thats just rediculous. I don't know of too many gamers that are so "hardcore" and would need a 160 gig hard drive in their ps3...yet are not "hardcore" enough to know that its cheaper to buy the 399 model and a 250-320 gig hard drive and swap it yourself. Also, the fact that this new model doesn't have backwards compatibility is quite a shame.

When the xbox360 is available for 299 for a model that offers the whole xbox360 experience, which is arguably as good as anything PS3 is offering if not better, having a bundle that is 220 more expensive is just madness. Especially in todays financial times...

Not to mention that the 360 comes with 4 games (lego, panda, dark sector, enchanted arms) and is available for 199 if you want to do casual gaming that also comes with those 4 games.

I can safely make a prediction at this point that PS3 will get a bloody nose this holiday season in terms of sales...atleast in North America. I am hoping they are atleast pulling a large profit for each console sold...then it may all be worth it.

Putting garbage games like that would make people who buy the console think thinks if this are the kind of games the 360 have to ofer because they will quickly go a return the console.

I fully know the hardware aspects PS3 has over 360. And that statement stays true in my opinion due to other aspects that 360 does better and aren't hardware related...

Yeah, you are right... People wouldn't want to try gears of war 2, fable 2 and Halo 3 before they sell their xbox360.

But these are highly opinionated. If you say better online, you should also add 50$ per year to the price of the 360.
Multiplats are almost equal now technically , new exclusives are also pretty much the same (even when Gears2 is an absolute blockbuster)
The PS3 is in general the better media system, in exchange the 360 will get Netflix (most likely the PS3 will get it as well) ...

I think you will have a really hard time arguing that the feature set of the 360 is significantly better in General. This leaves us with the price and it is true that if you only want to play games, have no problem with a LAN cable .. you can get a 360 much cheaper. But this only fits for the Arcade,

I didn't say it is significantly better than PS3. I'd consider them equal in the market... But I gues you are right. If they are the same price, the sales would lean towads the ps3 due to bluray which is a huge advantage.
