Forums - Sony - Tales From Resistance 2: 60 Player Death Orgy

It was insane; the opposing team was mobbing my guys picking them off one by one. My teammates were scrambling for cover and cowering in the corner trying to hide from the cluster of minigun spray and grenade rain, only to get picked off by sniper fire. "F this" I thought, I wasn't going out like that. I decided to take the back route knowing it would be risky going alone and got lucky in finding three extra grenades, (2 hand grenades one for the grenade launcher for my gun). Sprinting through the back (I love the fact that sprint is L2 and not L3 I hate the L3 button) my first enemy encounter was some geek trying to run up on me from behind to get the ever insulting melee kill. But I saw him on my radar just in time and in one continuous motion switched to my magnum spun around a shot him twice- but damn- he didn't go down I had only hit him in the leg. Now he had me I was sure he was only steps away and I definitely wasn't going to be able to melee him, (I switched the button layout so melee was pretty out of reach) then I remembered that my magnum rounds were filled with C4 and all I had to do was press R2 to set them off *click* *Boom* I lol'ed as his body went flying into the air spinning into the wall then hit the floor limp. I switched back to my carbine machine gun and saw the mob that had been decimating my somewhat stupid and suicidal teammates. Some of the mob had noticed me and were shooting at me. I bobbed weaved ducked aimed a launched a grenade their way instantly killing three of them. Flustered the mini gun holders turned to me but their guns take a second to rev up and I had already tossed my two hand grenades their way killing another three. The rest, who seemed stunned, I took care of with my machine gun. I must have killed 10 guys in under 7 seconds. The game said I was on a rampage I reveled in the glory and was still smiling after a sniper bullet to the brain took me out. It was the most fun I had had in a multiplayer deathmatch since Goldeneye in the N64 era. So there's the thing: I've never been a big FPS shooter guy and definitely not so big on the deathmatch stuff. In fact, I was almost regretting getting R2 because the campaign is a little on the shorter side; but the 60 player deathmatch you just can't ignore it. I mean I've never seen anything like this on a console. All the chaos: explosions, bullets flying blood guts and gore that stick to the walls, fire, water and lighting effects. It feels like you're really in a huge war. And some games go on for days with infinite rounds and 1000 kill limits per round. So that's why I stuck with Resistance 2. And I'm glad I did. It shows that PSN rocks and gets me hyped for KZ2 and M.A.G. Woot!

Wow! wall of text!

Well written though, your sense of enthusiasm and enjoyment comes across quite strongly.

This is the best bit: "The game said I was on a rampage I reveled in the glory and was still smiling after a sniper bullet to the brain took me out"

haha.

Well written, but divide it into paragraphs dude!

I can't the edit function doesn't work for me. My work computer is messing it up. If a mod could go in there and clean it up I would appreciate it very much.
