And Banjo-Kazooie. Many sites claim BK to have the best soundtrack EVER, and I know what they mean!

Funny you say that, i don't remember a single song from either game

It's funny alright.

"Oh God, THE MUSIC -- arguably the strongest thing about Banjo-Kazooie. I will pay someone $500 if they can listen to the opening theme of Banjo-Kazooie without a smile on their face. Do you remember how the main overworld theme would change slightly depending on what level you were standing in front of? Brilliant! All of the music in the original Banjo is so superb that I would easily rank it on a short list of my favorite videogame soundtracks of all time. It really is that good."

Seriously, anyone who thoroughly played Banjo back in the day will come here and agree with me.

All of this:

Simply amazing every time I listen to it. I usually do a run of the game every year, and I always say to myself ''Why can't Nintendo make something as good as this and the N64 version nowadays?'' :(

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Watch my insane gameplay videos on my YouTube page!

Most of the Senko no Ronde / War Tech OST; especially C.C., Idaflieg and Little Witch.
Battle Garegga Soundtrack - Fly to the Leaden Sky is iconic. Shame Manabu Namiki rarely tries these days.
And for some reason, Heaven's Park from Kororinpa with its Celtic twee-ness also does something to me.

EDIT: @SHMUPGurus: I almost forgot how much all of the Starfox ending music moved me. I remember getting a crappy tape recorder set up just so I could listen to it without having to beat the game each time.

WHERE IS MY KORORINPA 3

It gives me chills every time I listen. Not old enough for nostalgia yet.

I'd say the Halo music is great too, but that's not on a Nintendo console.

Damn, once I listened to Dire Dire Docks, I just had to run through a few of the other ones, including the file select and the ending (my absolute favorite).

The wave of Nostalgia that crashed over me was way too big.

This is one of my biggest nostalgia inducers.

Pixel Art can be fun.

btw.. i wasn't disagreeing with your assessment, i said funny because i don't remember it despite it being memorable

That said.. although I don't remember the tunes right now.. i'm sure i'd easily pick up on one if it started playing.. i only played each twice though, so i'm not sure if i fall into "thoroughly" catagory or not :P

I always get hit with a strong nostalgia bomb whenever I hear these.
