Hey guys, I am most likely going to be buying a 360 next week, and I wanted to get some advice on games to pick up.

So far I plan on getting Gears 2, Fable 2, and Banjo Kazooie. I'm also thinking about getting Bioshock, COD4 (or COD5), and Halo 3. I'm definitely going to at least rent all the Halo games, because I've never had the chance to play through them and I always wanted to.

One thing I was wondering, which would be the better game to buy? COD4 or COD5? Or are they both so amazing that I absolutely need both?

Besides that, just name me a few games that I should get! Also rate them in order of importance, since I won't be able to buy that many games right away.

I wouldn't bother with Halo 3, but it's your choice, I was extremely underwhelmed

In terms of CoDs, they are pretty similar, it just depends on your views on WWII games. I suppose there will be more of an active community in 5, but 4 is probably the slightly better game overall.

Just last week I would have said CoD4, as I would have assumed the online community would be superiour to CoD5 just due to how many people own the game, but since CoD5 is selling so well, I suppose that's no longer an issue.

I have not played CoD5 yet, so I don't know anything about the quality of it, but CoD4 is a fine game. I think you would be happy with either one, so you should probably decide whether you want to play with modern weapons or WWII guns and choose accordingly.

As far as other game recommendations, if you have Live, definitely pick up Left 4 Dead. I've had more fun with that game than almost any other I've played this year. Dead Rising, Orange Box, Viva Pinata, and Fallout 3 are also pretty much guaranteed to be enjoyed.

Depending on your tastes, you might like Tales of Vesperia and Lost Odyssey, too.

CoD 4 is amazing, trust me...
also Forza is an excellent racing game, if your into those type of games...
GTA4, Dead Rising, LO & Mass Effect...also suggested..

call of duty 4 and 5 are must buys and look into mass effect. halo3 is alright. I loved devil may cry 4.

Ah, I can't believe I left Mass Effect off my list. I have shamed myself and my family.

I would definitely recommend Left 4 Dead, its a really fun game.

You definitely have to get Gears 2, CoD4, and CoD:WaW. Halo 3 kinda made me mad, my friend and I couldn't do co-op w/o it feezing every 10 minutes. You should definitely also get Bioshock, Gears 1, and I would also look into Left 4 Dead.

Get these games:

1. Mass Effect;
2. Dead Space;
3. Tales of Vesperia;
4. Lost Odyssey;
5. Castle Crashers;
6. Bomberman LIVE;
7. Duke Nukem 3D;
8. Bionic Commando Rearmed.

Also, you should consider getting Dead Rising and Left 4 Dead for some Zombie action! =P
