I just bought LBP today and started playing it by myself. I got quite bored. Please note, I'm not the type who likes to spend time creating stuff or even customising stuff. Also note my PS3 isn't connected to the internet anymore because we don't have broadband here. I also noticed there were areas where you had to have more than one player, so that probably answers my question from a design point of view.

I think you can enjoy it alone, but the lack of friends and internet connection makes it difficult.

I certainly find it more fun playing co-op with my brother, but it is not boring at all.

I would certainly give the creator mode a go at some point, it is quite fun to make your own creations and play them, though I have not started on it yet

eh....yeah i think you need a connection for that game. One of the best parts of the game is going online and searching for stuff others created then playing them yourself. The stuff people make are amazing and fun. Single player is meh...

oh well looks like I'll have to get someone over to play this game with me then.

My net connection is not great and after some firewall issues I finally was able to play online and it's fun. But not as fun as local multiplayer, I have 3 controllers so try to involve my housemates if I am on it and they are just watching.
