ps4 will replace the word huge in the dictionary.
Other tip for Sony:
Just like the PS2, the PS4 HAS TO BE FOR EVERYONE, starting with the price and ending with an amount of hardcore, casual and middle titles (enjoyable for casuals and core at the same time)...
Only thing I'm really wondering about the PS3 are, the graphics for it, as it might be cell driven?
and the controller? Nitty have always done the things first, rumble, analogue etc, but Sony did it so much better, I'm hoping they can do this with the wiimote,
Point of for everyone, it needs to be even more for the dev's, if the Ps3 was easier to dev for it'd probly not have had such a tuff time, Powers all great, but if dev's could use all that power right away...
WTF? It's coming much sooner than 8 years, it should be here by 2011. I think it'll continue to use the Cell, it won't cost more than $400 and Sony could be back on top next generation if they learn from their mistakes. Not pricing it at $600 being the main one.

Things I don't want to see in the PS4:
* Multiple Cells - seriously, gaming doesn't require that much processing power
* New disc format - gaming systems shouldn't be multimedia disc Trojans
* Insufficient RAM / poorly optimized OS - 256 megabytes of general purpose XDR RAM would have been fine if not for an OS that demands 91 megs to run
Optimally I would like to see the PS4:
* Launch a year before the competition
* Launch for a $300 price point
* Focus on strong/early third party developer support
* Focus on competition with Nintendo instead of the PC and Xbox
Some good hardware specs would be:
1 Gigabyte of general purpose XDR RAM @ 3.2 GHz shared with the video card
1 22nm Cell CPU @ 6.0 GHz
32x speed Blu-Ray drive
250 Gig SATA HDD or a 160 Gig SSD (if SSD is considerably more affordable by the PS4's launch)
Nothing insanely expensive or new, just mid-ranged components that would allow for a low price point. Additionally, the PS4 would be familiar to developers and it would be reliable.
I expect PS4 late 2012 / early 2013, before that would be unnafordable to Sony, likely Cell-based GPU.
500 Gflops CPU
3 Tflops GPU
2048 MB XDRAM
Blu-ray 16x
Dont forget everyone that new technologies in the future will mean things like a 250 gb hardrive look pathetic. Its should be at least 1 tb
Help I cant get my trophy card to work.
@Stovo
What could you possibly need a terabyte for? You could store like every song ever made.
8 years lol? more like 4 years, well its been 2 already which is hard to believe. its too early to be talking about PS4.
