They need profits NOW. Selling more hardware is a long term investment which they can't afford. As much as people like to call the ps3 dead and what not, 200K+ a week is hardly failure, just not as good as the competition. They'll continue to sell hardware without a price drop. If I were sony, I'll only start to worry if the ps3 dropped below 100K WW on a continuous weekly basis.
