I remember few months back then,when about everyone said Ps3 will outsell Xbox 360 in end of 2008 or at beginning of 2009.

Well it came back with boost.Tho Europe sales ain't that big,but boy o boy it owns at America..

Few weeks/months ago when Xbox 360 had price drop it seemed Vgchartz untracked it by much.About 50k+ in weekly.Now numbers have been adjusted..Point for Microsoft,tho I don't know how they can sell it so cheap..

Everyone  (well most) said october and november will be Ps3 months because all big games came that time...But they have all failed to meet hype...(Motorstorm2,Socom,Lbp,Wipeout Hd (?) ) and that Gears 2 and Fable 2 won't be enough.

With Japan Ps3 sales Ps3 can win Worldwide,but America seems to be for Xbox 360.

I say that in the end of 2009,ps3 will outsell XBox 360.

Or maybe it won't and Xbox 360 keeps it lead.

Forget about Wii,it will keep outselling both at least 1 year..

Not bad for Microsoft.

WIth alomst the same games, the price cut and the economic price would be a suprise if it didn´t.
The thing is, a couple months ago the crisis were just kicking in, the price cut hadn´t being used by MS and PS3 was ahead by 50k weekly, therefore the expectations.

I remember a thread exactly like this being made yesterday, and the day before, and so on.

I remember when people made threads that were new, and didn't talk about the same thing over and over.

It's a nice comeback but I don't think its a surprise. MS saw that PS3 could catch the 360 and took action (drastic price cuts, paid for exclusive DLC, etc) that has helped push the console ahead again.

I do think that they've been helped by the global recession, as this has pushed even more to the lower price option than might have been the case otherwise, but the core moves were made by MS.

Their issue remains that in some ways they are reliant on PS3 remaining too expensive. The evidence seems to suggest that without being a lot cheaper, having more DLC, etc. the PS3 would outsell the 360 due to Playstation remaining an overall stronger brand WW.

If, and that's a big IF, Sony could get PS3 price point close to 360 then we'd really have a fight on our hands but I think that the same recession that helps MS with price point also hinders Sony making more price cuts.

So for now the momentum has swung back to 360.

Mind you looking at WW Wii figures both are still a long way behind any shot whatsoever at finishing in 1st place.

The 360 didn't surprise me, Microsoft is trying hard to win and the price cut was a great idea. It's as if Sony is trying everything possible to lose this console generation and not responding with a similar price cut is a major step in attaining that goal.
