Is it normal that Little Big Planet's EU sales had been dropping first week ?

It went from 176K to 76K.

It sold 43% of what it did in week 1.

Compared to a few other titles in Others.

MKWii - week 3 relatively = LBP week 2.

3.  258K - 43.2%

1. 384K

2. 242K - 63%

Brawl (not as impressive as it seems, Brawl did crap in Others)

2. 184K - 59%

3 - 127K  - 40.8%

2. 250K - 45.6%

My conclusion: LBP is looking to do good in legs for a Ps360 game (not great, good), and slightly below average for a Wii game (I looked at more than these, but didn't feel like typing all of it).

Comparing to Mario Kart WII sales, not really, comparing to other game releases, yeah it does. Considering the hype its not normal that a game drops that fast.

Well, to be fair. I look at it like this

Wii games:

Above 1M week 1: 50% dropoff

500K-750K: 33% dropoff

250-500K: 25% dropoff

150-250K: 10-20% dropoff

75-150K: Equal 2nd week

Just put that together quickly, don't expect it to be totally exact.

Ps360 games:

Above 1M: ~ 75-85% dropoff

500-750K: 60-70% dropoff

250-500K: ~ 50% dropoff

125-250K: ~ 40% dropoff

75K-125K ~ 25% dropoff

So LBP is pretty much doing what is expected.

PS: Think what I just wrote is wrong? Please tell me if you do.

This doesn't make sense. A new IP should rather increase its second week sales (or at least have just a minor drop). Look at Uncharted, it went from 85K to 110K. I feel fairly safe when saying that Uncharted (new IP) will outsell LBP (new IP) in Others, despite having only half as big week 1 sales.

No , I say I've seen LBP's First week was 270 k in Europe and now it's 176 K . Why ?

What i don't understand is all of my PSN friends have LBP, ether the numbers are wrong or my friends and i are not typical PS3 gamers.
