Ok. I'm torn. On the one hand, these are some pretty awesome vids. On the other hand, I've just started Playing Prime (14% completion) and the last thing I want is for the vid take away some of the wonder I'm about to experience. So when it comes out, can somebody let me know if watching it will detract from my gaming experience?

Yes, I was a sega kid back in the day, my first Nintendo console wasn't until the N64.

Sega consoles are still some of my favorites ever. There may not have been as many games for them but the ones that were there were great!
Metroid and Super Metroid are gonna hit VC soon ck in case you didn't know. If you are willing to pay for them keep an eye out on there for them (they are both certainly worth it). Enjoy the videos though, and you still may want to pick up MP and MP2 at some point. If you wanted a place to get them cheap

I think you should absolutely pick up these games, they can be found on the very very cheap. Gamestop sells Prime for $10 and I believe Echoes for $9. NINE DOLLARS for one of the best games ever made, one that has even aged superbly.
I say, backwards compatibility with Gamecube, as well as Virtual Console, is the best idea Nintendo ever had. Experience all the awesomeness you ever missed out on!
