I don´t get why people hate the D-pad... isn´t it just used to switch items and such 90% of the time ??? I really can´t see how it could screw that up ??? If you are playing streetfighter than ok but mostly its only used for simple little tasks... right ????

The online service is amazing, and the library is the best. The controller is the best one around (that doesn't mean it can't be improved). But what really put the 360 apart is that evey game has online playing, I know that lots of people think that online is not great, but you get another extra game for the money, R6:V and GRAW 1 & 2, are games that the online game is better than the solo game. And that why I LOVE MY 360.

It's true the D-Pad isn't used much for most games but when it iis used you notice right away how bad it is. I mean I have used worse but for how good the rest of the controller is it baffles me they could mess up on something so simple as a D-Pad.

On Topic:

I agree with just about eveything else that has been said. The thing with the monitor is what I love the most. I remember a friend of mine had his original Xbox connected to his monitor which was sweet. I was so happy when I heard they were going to make their own cable instead of the 3rd Party one for the OG Xbox. I didn't really think people actually appreciated this feature though.

Of course I love the online and the growing library of games. So far I've been content enough with my 360 I haven't been interested in buying another console yet (or until the black Wii is released). The 360 gets better and better with each major firmware update also. I love setting what I wanna download and then turning my 360 off and doing something else while it downloads trailers, demos, trial games, etc...

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

well
Good: great games, very very very excited for the next coming months, i love the wireless controller i was playing a game with my friend from at least 25 feet back and i dont know how far they can go, i love xbox live man they dont have much wrong there, just i really do like my xbox

bad: occassional (rare) freezes which are alright, overheating though i have only had that once when i came home to find that my 5 year old brother left the console on for at least a day. but i have never had hardware failure even though i have a 06 model =)

With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.

Bet with Harvey Birdman that Lost Odyssey will sell more then Blue dragon did.

The controllers can go atleast 35ft. I've hooked my X360 upto a 15 foot church projector from the other side of a church to play Madden with friends during the Super Bowl....They work like a charm.

Yes, I'd also agree outside of the D pad (which the only complaint I have is the diagonal buttons don't work too well), the controller is perfect. It's light, well balanced, has a rumble pack, and the triggers are just great, and have alot of percision.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

My 360 console stuffed up a couple of times but they completely rehashed it with new heatsinks and gave me 9 months of gold live and a whole extra year warranty. Console doesnt even warm up after hours of play now

starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

Noone can deny that the 360 has the best line-up this year, but next year i feel there will be some great titles amongst established ip. Banjo 3, Gears 2, Fable 2, RE5. This combined with Alan Wake means even if MGS4 doesnt defect (it will) and FFXIII doesnt defect (it wont), there will be a very marketable lineup next year, even not including the inevitable new ip's that will be announced. However, if FFXIII does come to PS3 next year, its possible the PS3 line-up could be better in 2008.

sorry for the double post

for now it is starcraft but for now its mostly because xbox is focusing on the games now instead of next year. There are a few games you dont really hear of (too human, mystwalkers other rpg) and a few others that no one hears about cause we hear about the games coming this year

there is no doubt that sony has a pretty good lineup just as good if not alot better then xbox for now but who knows.

I to believe mgs4 will eventually defect as long as sells of ps3 remain like they are, i can maybe (slightly) see ff 13 coming over if the following happen:

1 Rpgs sell well on xbox 360 (blue dragon, eternal sonota, lost odyssey) mostly if lost odyssey does well since it is alot like final fantasy it could really show square that xbox fans do want a good rpg and it will sell well.

2 in spring when last remnant comes out it has a very large sales on xbox and makes a good profit because of this

3 if playstation fanbase doesnt increase square might go multi if the following above occur, and profits dont cut it on playstation 3 alone (which i dont see a problem unless it requires more then 4 million it could be expected to sell on playstation
