I'd say go for Resistance 2, it will probably give you a more different experience then CoD WaW because im sure you can imagine a typical WWII type game etc.

I haven't played the multiplayer yet, but as for Single player. Resistance 2 has one of the best single players I've played this gen.

I also own World at War and the single player is what you expect from a call of duty game. No more, no less.

@ coolestguyever, with CoD the main component is MP, SP is said to only last about 6-8 hours, and the rest of the time will be spent online

Ok, so I am getting some great feedback here - it looks like R2 is gonna be my choice. How is R2 when you play online? Is it as fun as COD 4/5? Can you connect to games easily or do you have to wait long periods? And is it similar to halo in any way? (hope not)

 I haven't played much of COD5, but I can tell you this, imho it's no COD4. I think this is because I like you am very tired of ww2. AS for R2, I would say COD4 is slightly better but that it is a much stronger choice then COD5. The single player is good, but not the greatest, which is why I'd give COD4 the slight upper nod. The multiplayer in R2 is good, not COD4 good but there is something r2 has that almost blows away the entire COD4 package by itself and that is the increadibly addicting and fun 8 person CO-OP. It is one of the funnest and most addicting gaming experiances I've had in a very long time. When comparing the 8 person CO-OP to almost any other online gaming experiance on a console this gen, R2 wins. Again though, I'd place COD4 a little further ahead because it also had an increadible campaign, but COD5 just doesn't seem to have that same package.

I am really into online MP, so R2 is almost as good as COD4 online? And can you play with a friend online using the same PS3?

Cod 5 is not your normal WW2 shooter theres a lot of new things brought to it that are great but for your sakes id say Resistance 2 the COD can wait lol
