I was checking some figures on the game database when I saw this :

... less than 200k for Bioshock on the PS3 ? Was it worth porting it ?

Yes, because difference between BS2 will be much much smaller thanks to this port.

if its releases a year later, its still worth porting as porting isnt no where near as costly as developing.

bioshock ps3 is one of them titles in the fall, that get a bit lost due to all the new stuff thats out.

i predict bioshock ps3 will keep trickling on and should reach lifetime of 400k-500k

bioshock 2 on the other hand is confirmed to be multiplat so the picture will be clearer then.

It depends on the game.

Bioshock = Decent it was worth it, it also confirms a Multi-plat for Bioshock 2 so thats really good folks we like that alot.

Star Ocean 4 = Hell yes, no doubt about it.

Left 4 dead = No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, nooooooo ... no....

Tales of Vesperia = Depends...

Lost Planet = in my case, hell yeah! Solid capcom title with little to no issues from the port regardless what sites like IGN claim.

I think depending the game type NOT WORTH... if you see, GTA IV was really GOOD for PS3 but Bioshock as you see resistance 2, sometimes things get nasty and negative, So... I think VALVE was right about Left4Dead not port to PS3, sometimes cost for port isn´t payed... Bioshock needed to go on a port to PS3 due to Bioshock 2 comming next year... But I think they had a real disapointment with this pifious sales... sad!

This game came out in 2007, all the hype for it has died down. Bioshock is excellent and I would expect part 2 to be a big success on both systems. I think that bringing it out at $60 while the 360 one is $39.99 was a mistake. Everyone said the versions were like exactly the same.
