I may be wrong about this but I don't think the original Animal Crossing got rave reviews. It was Nintendos first foray into the Seinfeld game model, a game about nothing. My son has 3 or 4 friends that play the DS game and they seem to be enamored with it. It will sell really well I am sure and the reviews won't matter much.
So i watched 2hrs feed of this on game something.com. I dont get it but is the in game clock realy the only reason to buy this game? Flowers and weeds grow, anything else? Never played it but willing to bet money its got more to it than that, Just dont know what that is

because MK Wii has at least has imroved graphics and presentation, the two departments this game got bad score for, AC on the other hand looks just like the GC version with online features.

Unless you're talking about The Sims LOL... So theyre based this game in terms of graphics, and I thought graphics isnt important...

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

YOU SURE? So GC graphics isnt enough for you? And I thought graphics wasnt important no wonder COD 3 even a port of the PS2 version gives a score of 7.7 YES... 7.7 Can you believe that?!! O_o

You said it yourself:
Bikes, Mii integration, ''real'' online for the series, and let's not forget the Wii Wheel. I don't really like how the game engine changed in the past few years, but the game is still very addictive with four player split-screen (and online now). Also, a competitive game is more easy to rate higher because it has more replay value than any other single player game out there (or so it seems nowadays). One last thing, let's not forget the Mario Kart Channel and all the extra things you can do with it.
It's clearly a ''Wii game,'' and exploits all the features of it.

Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...
So for the other 20 million Wii owners that have NEVER played this before (me included) it's a 9.5 ?

so what if graphics is not big deal to me? is it too much to ask for wii game to look like a wii game? and AC was suppost to be N64 game and the GC version was just upgraded N64 game with N64 graphics, and this game still has those graphics and wii can do much better than that
