I am also entertained by his posts, but I am not in the mood to start any arguements with him today.
I hope Killzone 2 is great, but graffix > Crysis, try to be serious or give reasons/examples(like art style, environment, etc.).

Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.

With the PS3 we so far have had Motorstorm, Resistance, Ratchet and Clank, Heavenly Storm, LAIR, Unchartered, DMC4(funny how that one ended up on the 360 in non inferior format) MGS4, LBP(I am sure I am forgetting a few here) and they all came and went and NOTHING changed. And now we have Killzone 2 which some people again do the exact same thing with. Yeah MS and Wii fans hyped some stuff to mythical proportions as well but guess what none of em ever claimed those games would bury the competition once and for all. |
Nobody is touting any of these games to "destroy the competition". The bolded games are all excellent games (except Lair) that are the reason why I own a PS3. The PS3 version of DMC4 outsold the 360 version so I don't know what your point is with that.
This thread should have ended with CGI-Quality's post. His post regarding fanboy hyperbole existing equally on all platforms is 100% accurate. If you don't believe it use the search feature for MGS4, LBP, Too Human, Fable 2, Gears of War 2, Conduit, etc. You will be able to find threads similar to this one.

Interesting, since COD4 ranked fairly high on my list of shooters. Though it kinda depressed me that it wasn't all that different from Goldeneye.

You are either deliberatly ignoring all the hyperbole and all the WAIT UNTIL XXX RELEASES ON PS3 threads we have witnessed over the years or you simply are ignorant.
As for DMC4 it sold like 350k in Japan total and the difference between sales on both systems worldwide is a lot lower then that.
Not bad for a game that was once touted as only possible on Blu Ray and proof that third parties could get much better results working on PS3 exclusively.

It plays very similarily to Call of Duty 4. I love that style as opposed to Halo 3 and R2's run and gun type.
