I dont' have low standards, it is just that I barely expected any if those games to be as rated as high as they were.

Even though the reviews aren't based on an average, there must be some reviewers tilt or personal appeal aspect to it, that would alter the final score in the review.

I hope you weren't taking me literally when I said "no one." The PS3 and 360's highest rated games get way more hate than any of the Wii AAA titles I named anyways.

What really surprises me is how with so many awesome *original* hits on the HD consoles that these people have the time to troll around the Nintendo forum.

There are several reasons why it is very difficult to gauge the true quality of Wii games from reviews.

1. There are some who think the Wii is killing gaming and have a dislike to it and everything attached to it. (Think PC World and UK Tech sites).

2. Since many of them are not targeted only at the reviewers' tastes (e.g., FPS), the reviewer starts with a bias against the game. (Think IGN and Wii Music).

3. Related to that, many Wii gamers have different tastes so they enjoy things others may not. (Think Microgames).

4. Few game magazines give the Wii equal treatment to the Xbox 360 or PS3. Thus there are fewer reviews and one bad review can drag a metascore down. (Check the number of reviews of Shaun White Snowboarding).

lol @ the people who said there's nothing they'd want on the Wii. How can you call yourself a gamer and not want to play some of the best rated games this gen? Oh yeah, because they're on the Wii and wanting to play anything on the Wii automatically makes you a "casual".
