Agreed Skeeuk. God knows what is going on today with reviews. I only use gametrailers to just do one thing... see the lastest trailers.
Good to see this site is still going

I agree that seeing that review I would expect a far lower score to the game. I mean, they said in the review not to get the game and yet it gets passable (60+). This game looks like garbage though.
IGN isn't better than Gametrailers by the way. It's all about the same. At least, Gametrailers gave one of the lowest score for FFXII (about 80) instead of the crazy 90+ that other reviewers gave that game.
How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...

You wanna take this outside, Toasterface?

I have a hard time believing that you have played LBP based on your description.

Play magazine stop giving scores a few months ago. It forces you to read the review for the games highlights and weaknesses. Than you can make an educated decision based on what the reviewer wrote. It makes perfect sense since it is really hard to quantify all the parts of a game by a number or letter. People need to stop being media puppets and start making their own decision based on the information available.

They did? Really? Holy Hell! I think that I may begin reading Play magazine.
Off base reveiws are a problem in the movie industry also. The original Star Wars (Episode IV) got terrible reviews, and we see the result. Actually there have been quite a few blockbuster movies that have sold very well, but were reviewed poorly (Star wars is the only one that comes to mind though.
Same thing in the gaming industry. Some games are scored very low, yet sell well (Mario Party 8 for instance).
Buy what you like, avoid what you don't.
