Its easy to do that when they have a system out now thats still stuck in the past. 

As usual Nintendo holding back the industry and not giving the masses HD, which always makes gaming better.

you do realise.... that if nintendo had of stayed 'hardcore', it would have been even worse then the gamecube and we would almost definately not be getting remade old franchises like sin & punishment and punch out not to mention there are probably numerous others in the works.

it was either go absract, and get profit from a slightly different source or nothing for nintendo. Even they would have realised that microsoft and sony pretty much have the core market wrapped up, and that they would never be able to take marketshare off either by doing the same as them

To hardcores who are the minority. You do realize other people like those games and there are much more of them then there are of you? They are catering to the mass and at the same time realising games that are played by both groups. And how does HD make games better may I ask? Better graphics? Most people don't by games from looks but what they have which is why games like Mario Kart sell.
