Go for it!
I bought my 360 exclusively for Gears of War1 in 2006.

Very good move I've made, because Gears was only the entrance door. It's the tool that made me discover all the others gems!

Without Gears of War, I would never have known the greatness of:

Mass Effect
Fable2
Bioshock
Crackdown
Lost Odyssey
Halo3
Dead Rising
Viva Pinata
Ninja Gaiden 2

Man... I thank you Gears of War!

Do you have a high-end PC ?

If not, Buy a 360 immediately.

well its good but its a laptop so i guess i should get a 360 lol

PLAYSTATION®3 is the future.....NOW.......B_E_L_I_E_V_E

Consoles owned: Game Cube, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, Nintendo DS, PSP, PS1, PS2, PS3.

My prediction: NATAL WILL NOT help 360 sales. Maybe a 50-100k boost week 1, then a 30-70 k boost week 2, and back to the norm again after 3-5 weeks.

No, PS3 is enough, Resistance 2 is an excellent shooter, as is CoD WaW, that is enough to keep you happy without Gears

I really dont get how you can compare Gears to an FPS.....seeing that Gears is a TPS.

OT: I really wouldnt recomend getting a system for one game, but if there are a few you really want......go for it. Keep in mind the system will always get mroe quality games as time goes on and the price will drop along with it........it may be worth the wait.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

Gears 2 is a great game. I would not recommend getting any console for just one game however.

You might want to also look into upgrading your PC. There is a lot of PC that can be had for under $400 nowadays.

You should. The story is awesome and will have you playing campaign over and over and the online is fun with plenty of game modes. Also when your bored, just play horde!

Gears of War 2 is a must buy. The multiplayer, especially Horde mode, is very fun. The campaign is also great and had a significantly better story than the first Gears of War, though the cheesy writing is still there. Thankfully, we all know that cheesy writing=/=bad story.

get a 360, for gears and a bunch more...
Forza, Ninja Gaiden, Left 4 Dead, Halo, Banjo, Fable, LO, Tales, Crackdown....you'll have more than enough great games to choose from...and the great price doesn't hurt ;)

Actually, at 199, yes, you probably should get a 360. That's a good price, even for just an upscaling DVD player. :P

I'd also pick up a few more games, to make it worth it.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

If you have games aside from gears 2 that you like on the 360, get it. If you believe you're a casual gamer on 360, get the arcade.
