I echo this sentiment.

I live in Windsor. The tourists and the queen keep the town's economy going but are a pain when you want a table in a Restaurant in summer time. The queen's a great tourist attraction. |
The French Palace place (I forget its name) gets more tourists than Buckingham Palace, and France have been a republic for quite some time.

You have no clue. In Norway, it is always 5 degrees celcius coler than in the UK, and games cost 33-50% more.
Just for the record, me complaining about the latter is stupid, as I believe the average salary has a similar % over the UK.

It is a British tradition to moan about the weather
The UK games industry is much larger than the Norwegian one, and it is the 3rd (maybe 2nd) biggest market in the world, and so using the excuse of higher shipment costs/unit is not valid.
I don't know whether they dub or do extra work for your language, but those costs do not effect the UK. They could just give us the American games, which cost a lot less, though the situation is very different at the moment to what it was earlier this year

I checked it out, and I found something that may explain it.
In Norway, electronics have 16-24% tax. I believe video games have 24%. If the taxes are far lower in the UK, that could explain something.
Another thing is that Norwegians are morons when it comes to buying things. They rarely check things, and don't ever think of importing (I know this because it is how I was before I came to VGC). We're easy to scam, and together with the extra tax and the slightly higher price of shipping, it makes sense for it to be higher.
What's the tax on video games in the UK?

Australia
Censorship of video games and movies. High tax rates. 10% Goods and Services tax. Kevin Rudd - he is destroying the economy.
